Imperial Treasury
The Imperial Treasury consists of silver holdings in the form of Stomarian staters.
Our silver holdings take the form of silver Stomarian stater bars (staters), featuring Stomaria and the member states of the Empire. Currently, Gold Bullion Dealers supply the raw 999 fine silver for the staters which are then hand stamped in Stomaria.
Up until 2025, our silver holdings also included silver Stomarian stater coins that were minted through Coins For Anything, though these have now been discontinued in favour of the more cost-effective bars.
The name "stater" is derived from the stater coins used in ancient Lydia 2,500 years ago. These are widely considered to be the very first coins and, consequently, sound money in human history and so it's very fitting that the name stater is adopted by Stomaria as we work towards reviving the use of sound money in opposition to fiat currency.
A stater is the equivalent of 1g of 999 fine silver with its purchasing power based exclusively on the spot price of silver. As such, the purchasing power of the stater will fluctuate depending on value of silver as dictated by the open market.
Staters are circulated across Stomaria and the Empire through their utilisation as a medium of exchange but can also be purchased from the Imperial Market as a novelty (at a premium) in order to help fund our work.
